Goodman Fielder International (GFI), one of Papua New Guinea’s leading food manufacturers, has been named the Official Catering Sponsor for the PNG Mining Expo 2026.
The premier industry event will be held July 1–2, 2026, at The Stanley Hotel & Suites in Port Moresby. GFI manufactures some of Papua New Guinea’s most loved brands, including Flame, Twisties, Skel Rice, Arthur’s Pie, and Bilas Bread. The company produces and distributes a wide range of finished goods for retail and consumers like rice, flour, oil, sugar, milk, margarine, and poultry feed. GFI also runs a commercial business supplying large scale commercial flour to manufacturers for biscuit making, noodles, and other industrial applications, alongside a dedicated bakery business offering ingredients and finished products like bread, pies, and pastries.
As Official Catering Sponsor, GFI will supply a selection of its quality finished goods to support the event’s catering operations. In addition, Kelvin Tan Giam Yong, Bakery Manager, will lead live bakery activations during lunch breaks, showcasing pastries and baked goods made with GFI’s bakery ingredients and expertise.
“We are proud to support the PNG Mining Expo as the Official Catering Sponsor,” said Sharne Black, GM Sales & Marketing. “This sponsorship reflects our commitment to PNG’s key industries and gives us the opportunity to demonstrate the breadth of our portfolio, from trusted retail brands and essential staples to commercial ingredients and bakery solutions. Whether we are supplying flour for industrial production, sharing baking expertise through our bakery department, or supporting workforce camps, we are a complete food partner for the resource and hospitality sectors.”
GFI’s participation reinforces its role as a trusted partner to households, businesses, and large-scale operations across the country, backed by local manufacturing and nationwide distribution.
