Professor Ora Renagi
Professor Ora Renagi has served as the Vice Chancellor of PNG Unitech since 2019 after serving as Deputy Vice Chancellor from 2014. He has been part of the institution for over 35 years, contributing to leadership, academic governance, and applied physics research. Professor Renagi is a physicist by training, holding a BSc in Physics from the University of Papua New Guinea and an MSc and PhD in Applied Physics from James Cook University, Australia. His academic work includes research in oceanographic studies, sediment transport, environmental analysis, and he has authored multiple scientific publications and reports. He also contributes widely to national and regional initiatives—serving on boards such as the Lae Polytechnic Institute, ATCDI, and the Morobe Climate Change Committee. He was awarded the Order of Logohu (OL) in 2015 for his service.
