PNG Industrial and Mining Resources Exhibition and Conference is the premier event that brings together all sectors of the industrial, mining and resources industries into one location to create a marketplace where business is done.
The event is delivered by Prime Creative Media, with a commitment to invest into the professionalism, infrastructure and marketing of the event, both locally and internationally.
In 2026, the two-day exhibition will feature an array of equipment displays and stands across an expanded floorplan, while the conference will showcase experts from across the mining and resources sector presenting on challenges and opportunities for the local industry.
At PNG Expo, networking doesn’t end when delegates leave the expo floor! A welcome reception and official networking function means attendees can continue building valuable business relationships in relaxed, social settings across the entire event.
Please be advised that the conference program is not final and is subject to change
Mining companies need predictable, efficient permitting and clear regulatory frameworks to operate successfully. How are industry leaders working alongside national and provincial authorities to improve transparency, streamline approvals, and build the institutional capacity that benefits both investment and community trust.
From occupational health to community healthcare infrastructure, mental health, and disease prevention - how can mining drive better health outcomes for both workers and surrounding populations?

PNG’s geography places it at the heart of climate and biodiversity challenges. This theme reframes environmental management as innovation, not constraint.
Mining developments often drive major investments in transport links, power generation, and digital systems. This panel explores how these connectivity and infrastructure upgrades- initiated through mining-can be planned and financed to also support wider national development priorities. It will look at how improved access and technology can benefit remote communities, enable new economic opportunities, and contribute to long-term resilience across PNG.

Women represent half of PNG's workforce potential but remain underrepresented in mining. What barriers exist, and how can the industry create pathways for women in technical roles, leadership, and mining-affected communities?
Establishing and operating a mine in PNG's rugged, isolated terrain presents extraordinary logistical challenges. How are mining companies procuring equipment, managing supply chains across difficult geography, and maintaining operations when the nearest port or road could be hundreds of km away?
Move the conversation from ticking boxes to transforming safety culture at every level - leadership, contractors, and communities.
What new exploration models (data, AI, remote sensing) are relevant to PNG’s geology and context? How can PNG attract exploration capital?
PNG's resources sector is well known for its vast reserves of high-quality minerals and precious metals, but getting them into commercial markets remains a challenge. How can local projects attract the kind of global investment backing required to establish and maintain production?

PNG faces challenges building a sustainable and skilled local workforce and linking supply-chains locally.
As Papua New Guinea’s mining sector continues to expand, meaningful community engagement remains central to responsible development. This panel brings together community leaders, mining executives, government representatives, and social performance specialists to discuss strategies that strengthen relationships with landowner groups, support local development priorities, and ensure long-term social license to operate.

Traditional compensation models for the complex relationship between mining companies and customary landowners are evolving. How can all parties work together to create lasting prosperity, resolve disputes early, and align with PNG's unique land tenure system.
Remote mining operations in PNG face a dual challenge: securing reliable, affordable power in isolated locations while transitioning toward lower-carbon energy systems. How are miners addressing immediate energy needs through diesel, gas, and hybrid solutions? And what pathways exist toward renewable integration and eventually net zero operations?
